We felt like visiting Beautiful Place every step of the way. Our guides-- the one in Manikaran especially-- afforded a rich layer of political and cultural understanding when probed by us on many topics. And we cannot say enough about our wonderful driver who took such good care of us. The traffic in India is daunting, to say the least, but we always felt safe and comfortable with him, and his level of concern for our comfort and safety was above and beyond. .
